Celia Imrey is the principal design partner of Space Kit. Through her concurrent practice Imrey Studio LLC and previous firm Imrey Culbert, has done residential renovations within New York CIty as well as private residences in the Northeastern U.S. She has led numerous museum and exhibition designs for such institutions as the Louvre, the Pierpont Morgan Library, the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Rubin Museum of Art. Her work has been published in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Architecture Record, Casabella and Architectural Digest, among others.
Prior to founding her own practice Celia worked for I.M. Pei, Pei Cobb Freed and Partners, and William McDonough and Partners. She has taught architecture and art studios at Columbia, Yale and Brown universities. She is a graduate of Yale School of Architecture, is an Associate at the American Institute of Architects, and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
